Background

The Slo1 channel is a novel potassium channel that is regulated by both Ca2+ and voltage. It is a homolog to the pH and voltage-regulated Slo3 channel. Four distinct subunits composing the KCNMB family are known to regulate the function and expression of Slo1 channels. Slo1 has been shown to be involved in neurotransmitter release and etheanol response. It has been reported that SLO1 also has a critical role is muscles- the inactivation of the slo-1 gene in muscles leased to phenotypes similar to those cause by mutations of the dystrophin homologue dys-1.

Recombinant Protein
mSlo maxi- K+ channel Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations raised against a fusion protein corresponding to the cytoplasmic C-terminus region of mouse Slo1.
Anti-mSlo maxi- K+ channel Antibody was purified by Protein G chromatography. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Slo from Mouse, Human, Rat, and Zebrafish based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with Slo from other sources has not been determined. Ion Channels research.

Application Details

IHC, WB
Anti-mSlo maxi- K+ channel Antibody is tested for use in WB, IP, and IHC. Expect a band approximately ~110-130kDa on specific lysates. Epitope mapped within amino acids 690-715. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user.
