Bovine Collagen Type IV can be utilized as a control or standard reagent in Western Blotting and ELISA experiments. Bovine Collagen Type IV is stable at 4° C as an undiluted liquid and should only be diluted to working range(s) just prior to use. Storing dilutions is not recommended.
Bovine Collagen Type IV has been prepared from Bovine Placenta and is chromatographically and immunologically pure. Bovine Collagen Type IV reacts with anti-Collagen Type IV. Reaction with Rockland’s anti-Collagen I, II, III, V or VI is negligible (typically less than 1% cross reactivity was detected by ELISA).
