4/17/2010-Rockland Immunochemicals launches new Website through Media Fusion Technologies
Rockland Immunochemicals, purveyor of high-quality antibodies and antibody based tools, recently launched a new website (www.rockland-inc.com) through Philadelphia area website design company, Media Fusion Technologies, Inc. (MFT).Rockland Immunochemicals’ antibodies and Antibody Based Tools™ are designed for individuals performing Western Blotting, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence Microscopy, ELISA, FLOW Cytomtery, ChIP experiments, as well as other immunodetection or immunofluorescent techniques. Rockland Immunochemicals is tapping into a research antibody market that is currently worth around $1.5 billion and growing at 10 percent a year. These products are used by scientists in research to develop new blockbuster drugs and diagnostic tests. Natalie Joy Cappel, Rockland Immunochemical's CEO said, “Our web-based technology will allow scientists on a global scale to access products and data in a more user-friendly environment. This addresses our need to reach the $1.5 billion dollar research antibody market in a more cost effective manner.” Rockland Immunochemicals, Inc. is a market leader in the development of high quality antibodies and antibody based tools. The te...
3/22/2010-Putative Prostate Cancer Biomarker NAG1 Antibody
The putative prostate cancer biomarker anti-NAG1 (aka GDF15) reacts with serum protein from both human and mouse sources and can distinguish monomeric and dimeric forms of NAG1 and NAG1 H6/D6 polymorphisms in human prostate cancer samples.  This target is a putative biomarker for prostate and pancreatic cancer and other conditions.  We anticipate a validated assay to screen for and profile NAG1 variant forms in human serum samples which may be useful for cancer detection, therapeutic modeling and epidemiological studies. ...
2/14/2010-Download AKT Signaling Pathway Poster
Rockland Immunochemicals' new AKT Signaling Pathway poster is a free download or request the full sized 32" X 36"version for your lab! ...
1/4/2010-STED Microscopy of Activated AKT and Tubulin
Antibodies to both activated AKT and tubulin were studied using Leica STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) microscopy which showed structural details beyond the resolution limits of conventional confocal microscopy.  Using STED imaging we demonstrated the association of activated AKT with tubulin fibers very early after EGF stimulation.  Transient activation of AKT under EGF stimulation is consistent with findings observed in lysates.  ...
12/7/2009-Multiplex Western Blotting
Antibodies allow multiplex detection in a western blotting system with enhance sensitivity and specificity with low background staining, high signal-to-noise ratios and differentiation between active and inactive states of key cell signalling pathway targets.  Multiplex blotting can identify protein status, or translational modification of proteins in a cellular context.  We additionally show low background immunofluorescence imaging using DyLight™ conjugated secondary antibodies. ...
11/9/2009-Assay Development
Rockland Immunochemicals now offers immunoassay development and bioanalytical services utilizing our expertise in producing antibodies (in vitro and in vivo) to various targets which monitor important signaling events.  Rockland's DualLISA™ assay technology optimizes polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies produced for more highly sensitive and quantitative assays than standard ELISAs, saving time during the intensive screening process.  Furthermore the advantages of DualLISA™ allow for the rapid development of reagents which can be incorporated onto High Content Screening Platforms.  Successful targets to date have been AKT, Pdcd4 and STAT5.To further enable innovative biomarker development for drug discovery and diagnostics applications, Rockland Immunochemicals offers highly customized solutions to meet your basic, applied, and clinical research demands.  Whether its the generation of highly specific antibodies or the development of unique in vitro assay systems, Rockland Immunochemicals provides the scientific expertise and cGMP compliant manufacturing facilities necessary to support your biomarker evaluation and development needs, globally.  For over 40 years, Rockland Immunochem...
