Antibodies to both activated AKT and tubulin were studied using Leica STED (

E
mission
D
epletion) microscopy which showed structural details beyond the resolution limits of conventional confocal microscopy. Using STED imaging we demonstrated the association of activated AKT with tubulin fibers very early after EGF stimulation. Transient activation of AKT under EGF stimulation is consistent with findings observed in lysates.
